August 07, 1985 - January 21, 2002

A funeral mass for Joshua Williams, age 16 of Sammamish, was held at 1pm, Saturday, January 26, 2002 at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1121 - 228th Ave SE, Sammamish.  A graveside committal followed at Upper Hillside Cemetery in Issaquah.  Josh passed away Monday, January 21, 2002 at Snoqualmie Pass.

Josh was born August 7, 1985 in Bellevue, to Philip and Debra Williams.  He was raised in Sammamish and attended Skyline High School.  Josh was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing football, and baseball, wake boarding, karate, and snow boarding.  Josh especially loved hanging with friends.

Outgoing and brave in character, Josh will be remembered for his ability to make people smile, and charming wit. He was a loving son, brother, and devoted friend to many.

Survivors include his proud parents, Philip and Debra Williams of Sammamish; sisters, Elizabeth and Adrianna; grandparents, Jeanne Williams of Naperville, Illinois, and Mike and Ethie Fideler of Spencer, Iowa.

Friends are invited to view pictures at our Photo Gallery  and to share memories, send condolences, and sign the family’s online guest book at www.flintofts.com.

There has also been a broad community outreach to the family.  The support received by the family has been a testimony to Joshua, but also to his parents and sisters, for the role they played in his development. The Joshua P. Williams Memorial Foundation has been established as a result of this outpouring of support.  Please visit our Contributions section under Foundation Information for donation information.
